I believe you use the census data for the locale where the case is
filed. So, you should still use California.

Client moves to LA, CA from TX - forced to move or lose job.
Can't keep up with house in TX, daughter in college, expenses here, insurance and HOA on empty house and decides to file Chapter 7.
Above mean wages, but high expenses, wife has had surgery and is not working - special circumstances.
Planned file date May 1. Petition 99% done ready to go.
Client LOSES JOB in CA (1 week ago), moves back to TEXAS. Now living in Texas.
Has lived in CA for most of 180 days over the last six months - literally all but 2 weeks. I check this board and Code and verify that they can still file here. Wants to file here, since most of work has been done. Use CA address on Petition, put new Texas address on maililng list.
Question: That lovely 99% petition that I worked on? Do I have to change the means test to reflect National Averages in Texas?
They lived here 6 months almost to the day Nov-April
Look back is Nov-April
Please advise, thanks!
Sandy
