homestead exemption for unmarried couple
I"m having a brain fade late in the day here.
If a couple isn't married, but both own a piece of real property, and each need to file separate BKs:
Do they EACH get a $50,000 homestead exemption or is it one per house?
Just trying to figure out how to calculate the equity in each case to the estate.
