Welcome to New Member - BAP Dinner and Awards Dinner 2008
The BAP Dinner will include a program on the "Nuts and Bolts" for an
appeal. Everyone of our members should have a minimum understanding
of what it takes to take an appeal; even if they are not doing it
themselves. Knowledge of the issues will raise your alertness to
trial court issues and how to preserve factual and legal issues for a
possible appeal. With so many issues arising in so many cases, as
discussed in this Listserv, everyone should attend. And, Dennis
Montali is not only one of the best BAP Judges, but an incredible
speaker. He wrote most of the recent BAP decisions on claims
allowance, attorneys' fees, and as the trial court judge presided over
the PG&E case in SF. Also, some of our own judges will be there...
and they know when and who has attended and who has not. The same
will be true about this year's Calvin Ashland Award Dinner. Call
