For the last year I have had great success arguing that the relevant value
for redemption of a vehicle under 722 is the blue book trade-in value. I
just had my first hearing where the Judge (Bluebond) wouldn't allow that.
She originally insisted that it should be the private party value, or
possibly even higher, but I talked her down to the wholesale or liquidation
value. The problem with that is, there is no such valuation easily
available. Presumably this value would fall somewhere in between the
trade-in and private party value.
Does anyone have any source for such a value?

I have two suggestions. First, there is something called the Black Book which is a compilation of auto auction results. I wish I had more information about it, but a little searching on Google should find it.
Second, there are thousands of used cars for sale on the web. You might try to google the type of car and see what happens. You might also try to google all but the last 5 digits of the VIN and see what happens (I have never tried this).
