Social Security monies received and deposited are exempt. True,
they are property of the estate until 30 days after the 341(a) if no
objection is filed. You insist on being right on every technical
point!!

Thanks, Ty, I will advise the client. It looks like they are going
to set up one account for Social Security Deposits and the other for
earnings, other than Social Security, just in case I need to make an
argument that Social Security is not property of the estate.

Lou,
I've had 3 debtor's who have checking and/or savings accounts at
AFTRA/SAG as of this year with no known problems, ie, they did not
call me complaining of their account(s) being frozen.

Is anyone aware whether the AFTRA/SAG Credit Union has established a
policy regarding freezing accounts of members post petition?
Please advise. Best regards.
